Chris Red introducing brand new studio single, All or Nothing

Chris Red is an artist and song writer who recently announced the release of a brand new single. The upcoming track is titled “All or Nothing,” and it will see the light of day on the 1st of May. These aren’t easy times for artists, many of whom are stuck indoors and unable to record or perform due to quarantine restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it is amazing to see artists like Chris, keeping the flame alive and bringing new music into the world at a time where it needs it the most. All or Nothing” is a particularly meaningful song, which has a personal sound and some inspiring lyrics. The song kicks off smooth and subtle, with an artificial vocal harmonizer effect over the lead vocals.

The instrumental track has a synth-wave touch, with some stunning textures and a catchy beat that becomes increasingly more sophisticated and textural as the song unfolds. The song is beautifully melodic, making me think of artists as diverse as Lauv, AVICII, Ed Sheeran, or Odesza, only to mention but a few. Chris brings a lot of passion to his vocal performance, and the instrumental is produced beautifully. The mix is balanced and very detail-oriented, making for a lively, edgy and stark sonic approach. In other words, there are many subtle nuances in this release, which really add to the richness of the track when summed up together. The frequency spectrum of the mix is also very balanced, with a tight, yet deep low end working wonders along with a smooth top end, which adds a sense of clarity to the music.
